Capturing light: physical fundamentals Light enables humans to see their surrounding environments and capture it as images using cameras. The image obtained by a camera represents all the light rays reaching the camera’s sensors. To understand the basic concepts of this process, this chapter will examine the fundamentals of light transport. 2 explains the influence of light wavelength.
